CHAN-CHAN !. Strange place, and astonishing by its size. When the conquistadores entered Peru, it was still inhabited, but the civilisation had declined, facing too much of a pressure from the Inca empire. What strikes is the repetition of these rectangular centers (more than eight of these).

CHAN-CHAN nous surprend par sa taille, et par son système très spécial de transmission du pouvoir, à l'origine d'une expansion que seule freinera la concurrence de l'Empire Inca. C'est une étape inattendue pour notre petite équipe, finalement très inculte quand à l'histoire très riche du Pérou - qui, nous le découvrons, dépasse très largement Incas et Machu-Pichu.
