Maori Goodbye for the gloworms

Adrien took the camera, and Clem spoke with many people that live around the gloworms : 

Alex the bartender told us how the gloworms attract each day more and more tourists, 

Travis the biologist shows us how to take care of the different biological parameters that are essential for the survival of the gloworms,

Dave the environmental officer explains us the importance of protecting the Waitomo river that flows to the caves and feeds the gloworms,

and Huia the maori guide tells us the maori legend regarding the gloworms light, and gives Clem a maori goodbye :) Funny enough, the Maori in new Zealand say hello the same way the Inuits in Greenland do...

Wow ! What a day ! 

We are now out of the cave, bye bye gloworms ! We are heading back to Auckland with our small van, where another friend is waiting for us !

Adrien a pris la caméra, et Clem a discuté avec plusieurs personnes aujourd'hui : 

Alex le serveur nous raconte l'expansion importante du tourisme lié aux vers luisants, 

Travis le biologiste nous apprend à contrôler les différents paramètres biologiques nécessaires à la survie de l'espèce, 

Dave du Ministère de l'Environnement nous montre comment protéger la rivière Waitomo qui coule dans les grottes et fournit l'alimentation des vers luisants, 

et Huia le guide maori nous enseigne les légendes maories sur la lumière des vers luisants, et offre à Clem un salut maori :) Chose étonnante : les maoris de Nouvelle-Zélande se saluent de la même manière que les Inuits au Groenland...

Wow ! Quelle journée ! 

Nous quittons maintenant les grottes et rejoignons Auckland avec notre petit van, où un autre ami nous attend !
